We all have that “Go To” resource that we use for cooking. It could be your favorite TV show, blog, book, friend, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, etc. It doesn’t matter who you are, you have this resource and there is no doubt that this resource has advanced your cooking skills significantly.
Here at Whiskey Ridge Spices we are no different than you. One of our “Go To” resources (besides Whiskey Ridge Spices) is a little book called the “The Barbecue! Bible.”
We received this book long ago and we have to say that this book has skyrocketed our cooking. There are so many good recipes in this book. Honey Sesame Shrimp, Jamaican Jerk Pork Tenderloin, Australian Beer- Barbecued Wings, Spicy Chili Wings, Hong Kong Honey Glazed Chicken, Salt and Pepper Grilled Shrimp, Beer Can Chicken, Spicy Chorizos, Scallop Kebabs with Pancetta, Lemon and Basil, Korean Sesame-Grilled Beef, Steak From Hell (Which we will talk about tomorrow) Grilled Beef with Peanut Flour, etc. We could go on forever, however now that we listed all of those we are hungry and it is time to fire up the BBQ!
We want to give you one warning about this book. If you are looking for a quick recipe to throw together for dinner one night you will have a hard time finding it. It seems that everything in The Barbecue Bible requires a lengthy marinating time. As we all know marinating is a great thing to do, however just be cautious about this when throwing a meal together. Later this week we will share an idea on how to cut down your marinating time.
We also wanted to share with you a quick video from the author of The Barbecue Bible Steven Raichlen’s
